5 dollars for 1 million? How generous is amazon!

It's $5 per thank you, so they are giving drivers a total of $5 million. //@Anonymous: 5 dollars for 1 million? How generous is amazon!

1 million "thank yous" will get $5 per thank you?
That is $5M for a driver. Cool......

Assume every package you deliver receives a thank you. You need to deliver 2740 packages a day for 365 days to get 1 million thank you. Do we know how long Amazon is running this promotion? That cool 5 Million is only for the 1st to get to the mark. Hmm, need a more definite way to assure getting the 5 Million.
One suggestion, if you live in a small town and you are the only Amazon driver there, please order 1 million small items like 99 cent Plackers Micro Mint Dental Floss Picks with Travel Case or items that has free return. You can get to the 1M thank you by shipping them to your home, your friend homes, etc. Get the thank you and receive your $5M. Stick it to Amazon =)

Tried on my Alexa App. It says:" I am glad you enjoy your recently delivery. I will share that with our delivery partner: USPS. Thanks"

Well put! I had an Amazon delivery driver just last week deliver my package to the wrong house, photographed the package at the wrong house, then I stopped him some 300 ft from that house and he simply said oh another driver will be coming around soon with my package. I literally had to walk across to the package that was at the wrong house to get my own package. And we're meant to thank these people? Maybe I'm missing the point here somewhere. //@anonymous: Do I need to thanks to the amazon delivery drivers due to he has lost dozens of my packages by keeping delivering to wrong address?

Amazed by your imagination... Probably you should read that sentence again and tell the difference between "Drivers who receive..." and "The driver who receives..."? //@Anonymous: Assume every package you deliver receives a thank you. If I want, I will give the tip to the driver. Why I need to beg Alexa for 5$ and they will use that data for modeling.

Because deep down you know you are a model customer. //@anonymous: If I want, I will give the tip to the driver. Why I need to beg Alexa for 5$ and they will use that data for modeling.

I'm afraid that this is a reward no drivers can get because "Drivers who receive the first 1 million "thank yous" will get $5 per thank you"... which is like ONE driver has to cover the ENTIRE Austin, TX and everyone has to thank him/her. Yes, each customer can thank a driver more than once. Let's say EVERYONE in a city thanks him 10 times, then that city still need to have 100,000 residents.

My Amazon delivery guy doesn’t deserve a penny. Always throw my packages. I confronted him many time and still toss my packages.

There seems to be some confusion ...
"The first 1 million "thank yous" will get $5 per thank you."
Within the first 1 million. a driver can get say 2000 "thank yous" and get a bonus of $10,000 and another driver 1800 "thank yous" and get a bonus of $9,000 and so on until $5 million is paid.

I’m a driver and we don’t get paid much, we pay gas out of our own pockets . I already got two thanks, I guess not all people are grinches! //@anonymous: So the buyer receives nothing?

Does this means Amazon ask us to help pay their drivers christmast bonus? I respect the drivers but this is low for Amazon…

People have this a bit confused. EACH driver that receives a thank you gets $5 from AMAZON, not from the customer they delivered too. Amazon will continue to pay out these $55 tips until they have paid out one million dollars in tips! The five drivers that receive the most thank you's, will receive an additional $10,000 and Amazon will donate another $10,000 to the favorite charity of those five drivers. It is a great program and a good way to incentivise drivers to give better service!
