I was lucky to get one from BestBuy local store using price-match when Walmart was on sale and available. The price was $449 after price-match and there is 5% in-store Cashback from third party Cashback website, plus credit card has 10% back up to $25 offer (chase). Combined almost $100 off. I personally think apple tags are useless for all practical purposes. It is at best works if it is in the same room as your phone. You move to a different location with as minimum as with 2-3 walls it does not work. Interesting, how far you located it? I am not sure if you ever have it. Your receptor reports last static ordinates whenever it was within the range. I hid them in backpack, luggage, car to track. Very useful. I guess people also use it track their kids and pets.
