I don’t think it’s necessary, but please correct me if I’m wrong. For the desktop version, TurboTax includes all tax forms. If you receive a 1099-MISC (or 1099-B) from your brokerage, you can simply enter the form manually or import it directly from your brokerage account (prefer). In most cases, the brokerage already calculates the capital gains and losses. Be aware that Windows 11 is mandatory. Windows 10 is no longer supported. I switched to H&R Block this year after being a loyal customer for 10+ years.
