I bought this from Newegg when an earlier deal was posted, but was disappointed it only included the download for the state software. It’s demanded an additional $19.99 to actually file with the state. The federal worked fine.

I think because states don't have digital filing system like federal. Good deal for TurboTax Deluxe with State ($29.99) and you need to add $10 for GC. Better than Costco, who has it is for $39.99. Here in $39.99 you get TurboTax Deluxe with state (same as Costco) + $10 Amazon GC. Thank you Dealsea!

My daughter had to get one last year to file her Nebraska state because she earned a few hundred dollars in 2020 doing a campus job before the university sent students home due to the pandemic. My experience (and if I remember correctly is, each copy you purchase allows unlimited federal tax returns to be completed but only 5 different federal e-files and even though it has the state program (as long as its purchased on the same purchase) you can create many of the state (1 state that you purchase) returns (only 1 state per purchase) but there is an additional charge for the state e-files
so 5 federal e-files with purchase
0 free state e-files (additional cost required per ea state e-filed) And also additional software purchase cost if multi-pal states

Yes, all Disc/Download TurboTax products can handle investment info, though TurboTax suggests having a Premier version to handle investment transactions.

Beware of desktop version. We inputted all of our information then software asked to update and deleted all our info. Had to start over from scratch... Look it up. If you get this make sure you back up to multiple locations that the software doesn't automatically access.
