How? You still have to buy 3+ items in total to get it for $175! Not to mention SONY is the current ruling product in that market, not BOSE. //@Anonymous: Good price for Bose QC 35

Note it is an Audio Doorbell, no video support.

This is a very decent starter kit for arlo ecosystem. You do not really need a video doorbell if you plan to place an arlo camera at your front door anyway.

I still use the first gen of Arlo. what pro 2 bothers me is that rechargeable batery is used, and battery life is not long enough compared with first gen

don't waste money on Arlo ..
1. have to pay monthly subscription fee to use them
2. it sends data to their servers (4k data is big, 4k x 5 is hugh; it will go over your internet data cap .. pay more to your internet provider
3. it captures 2 minutes when motion is detected all and pause few minutes, upload .. it captured just 2 minutes, not a entire event.
4. motion detection sucks .. it misses a LOT of real motions, but catches wind blowing bushes or leaves on trees

i am sorry to hear the negative comments from downstairs. i am Arlo Pro 2 user. i am happy with it. there is no fee if you do not subscribe extra service. it offers real time warning when motion is detected. i don't think it ever missed one.

1. Free account provides 7-day event-based storage.
2. Ditch your ISP with cap. That being said, videos from these cameras are highly compressed (fairly small).
3. True
4. If you setup the zone correctly, it is pretty good. //@Anonymous: don't waste money on Arlo ..

Arlo pro 3 and newer cameras will no longer have free 7-day cloud recording, more info here: https://kb.arlo.com/000062366/New-Arlo-Smart-subscription-plans-FAQ

7 days or 1 gb max, with 5 x 4k cameras, you may get 10 mins not 7
Days.
Zone feature requires subscription, and probably any useful feature requires subscription.
So $799 + subscription + unlimited data cap internet + disappointment (it does not capture porch thief taking things, it catches only car drive by(1st 2 minutes and stop) //@anonymous: 1. Free account provides 7-day event-based storage.

4k compressed to reduced bandwidth is not 4k.. it's grainy to see. Battery issues too. Need to recharge after a couple of days if it is recording a lot //@anonymous: 1. Free account provides 7-day event-based storage.

battery powered security cameras have limitations which cannot be ignored

Other than the need to recharge the battery periodically, what are the limitations?
There are advantages as well, such as being able to place the camera in places that do not have access to a wired circuit. //@Anonymous: battery powered security cameras have limitations which cannot be ignored

i think it is a good deal. i bought 3-camera system last thanksgiving for $300. they work very well. battery life is highly related to traffic. i bought another add-on camera the other day to make sure my house is fully covered.

I have the same system that I have been using since last year. Working nicely. Notification sent to the phone near instantly. Battery life is good so far depends on traffic. You don't need the data plan, just buy a small storage disk(USB) for re-writable back up.
