Note that a new line is required. Only if you are already with Verizon and have the need to add one more line, otherwise I don't see why anyone would fall for that. //@anonymous: so? you have to pay the same for 2 years even if you use your old phone.

So, this means that it is locked to the Google fi service? I can't buy this and use it with sprint?

Google Fi phones are unlocked, but to get this price you have to activate the phone and use their service for at least 90 days. //@Anonymous: So, this means that it is locked to the Google fi service? I can't buy this and use it with sprint?

its unlocked but probably if service is not active for 90 days- they will charge the credit card with $600 //@Anonymous: Google Fi phones are unlocked, but to get this price you have to activate the phone and use their service for at least 90 days. //@Anonymous: So, this means that it is locked to the Google fi service? I see. Meh, the plan isn't worth it. I could theoretically get a 30/ month throwaway number from trackfone or something, transfer it, use fi for 3 months at 70/month, then cancel. It would cost me about 300 usd, making the phone about 700. Too much work though //@anonymous: its unlocked but probably if service is not active for 90 days- they will charge the credit card with $600 //@Anonymous: Google Fi phones are unlocked, but to get this price you have to activate the phone and use their service for at least 90 days. //@Anonymous: So, this means that it is locked to the Google fi service? Nobody uses Google Fi for their unlimited data. You get it for international use because it works everywhere for no additional fees.

A light data user's bill will be ~$30/mo. //@Anonymous: I see. Meh, the plan isn't worth it. If you have a phone that could worth $500 for trade in when S21 is available then it makes sense to wait. Assuming S21 is around $1000. //@anonymous: Galaxy S21 will be released this month.

Yea, im interested in learning what the s21 camera array looks like. I'll wait just for that reason. Still, tempting. //@anonymous: If you have a phone that could worth $500 for trade in when S21 is available then it makes sense to wait. As of 2/12/21, the deal seems to still be going on. It seems more attractive now, since the Galaxy S20 is very hard to find for less that the original MSRP of 1000. I actually prefer the S20 to the S21, more ram and an SD card slot, although the processor is slightly slower, everything else is the same. //@Anonymous: Yea, im interested in learning what the s21 camera array looks like.
