I wrote the first post, yes. It's better than not wearing any mask, but here is the cDC recommendation? If you don't want to read the detail, go for n95 1860.

n95 means it can protect >95% 0.3uM airborne particles, no matter what particle it is. 1860 /1870 has another layer of FDA approval.
