Be careful. There is delay in calling and receiving calls so you will have dropped calls. Lots of designed glitches to waste your time if you are good enough to get your money back.

The trial is not free at all, Cuz to cancel, you need to click their tricky and vague $15 deposit link, otherwise you cannot even proceed to cancel at all.

This is an amazing deal. I've used FreedomPop for a few years actually, and their service has by far been the cheapest I could find! They even have a free plan you can downgrade to if you are a light user. I would at least recommend seeing what they have to offer, even if you're looking for a backup device.

Oh Gosh company has been fueling my personal business for years. I have purchased 20 cell phones for my sales staff. Key is just go in your Interface and downgrade to free plan if you want to. I suspect the haters on this thread are illiterate.

Yes they can charge your credit card in the future because you authorized multiple future payments. Even if your credit card expires they can still charge you as long as that account is still active. FP does not accept prepaid cards either. //@Anonymous: If use PayPal to pay the Sim, can they still charge you later?

Have to say that I started with the FreedomPop hotspot for my business back in the old Sprint days and it's been in the tech bag for my mobile office ever since.
From the free plan that gives my business a phone number and data line, to the 1000x3 plan that gives me everything I need for personal usage (once I start using WiFi where it's available) - I've saved $1000's since I switched.
Think about this one - a family of 4 on the best deals right now will be $100 a month - on FreedomPop it's $16.65 a month - that's $1000 a year back in your pocket!
FreedomPop saves you money and offers a great service plan for the average user.

Of course they charge you for any data you use over what they give you. You only get 200-700mb (spending on friends) on a free account. Use any more and they charge you same as any other limited plan. //@anonymous: I signed up and canceled when they keep charging for data they say its free its, not they charge you for data

Good deal. Be sure to connect with FreedomPop friends to get an extra 500 MB each month.

As long as you know that an account balance is required (as stated in the fine print) for downgrades, there are no other catches. Enjoy the free data!

It would be great if FP could make the "account balance required for downgrading" notice more remarkable. //@anonymous: Oh Gosh company has been fueling my personal business for years. I bought my first FreedomPop phone for my son. He was only 9 years old so I really didn’t want to spend much on a phone for him. This way, if he lost it, it wouldn’t be a big deal. It would also be a great way to give him a phone to use when he is out and about and learn how to be responsible for something like this before he reaches his teen years. In two years, he only lost is twice, but after he lost the second one, we found the first one. LOL. The service has been good, but not awesome. Good enough for a casual user.

You have to refresh the page when checking out with two gift cards, otherwise it will show the second card is invalid. By the way, the Cashstar people make me really frustrated. If you have any problems, don't call them but call Customer Service.

1970 + 30$ new line activation fee. Total 2000 for 1 iPhone for 2 years. Rather buy same iPhone for $700 full price unlocked phone and pay $35 per month. Considering this 700 + 35*24 = 1540.
2000 with att or 1540 with any prepaid carriers ?? //@anonymous: Export one line to google voice to avoid extra one line service. //@Anonymous: don't forget tax //@Anonymous: $700 - $350 - $300 = $50 + $80x24 = $1970. That's how much you're gonna pay for it.
