There are multiple issues with just going to CVS and getting the test done.
1. You need appointment which you may not be able to get in time
2. You will provide sample to CVS which goes to a lab for testing. You may not receive the result if the test was not handled properly which happens a lot more than you imagine
3. You will receive the result in 24 hrs if the lab is not too busy. Otherwise you are looking at around 72hrs.
4. After all this, everything depends on the Lab guy who is performing the test

By all this time, you may have spread COVID to N number of people around you
Its just better to do a home test asap to keep everyone around you safe from further spread of COVID 19 //@Anonymous: Just a question: we can go to CVS to do this kind of testing for free. Why spend money buying them? Thanks.
