Duracell and Costco both leak. I invested in some rechargeables and haven't looked back. The 24 pack of Amazon Basics are $1.50/each so after like 3 charges they're paying you.

Rechargeable AA/AAA have a nominal voltage of 1.2v vs alkaline ones are 1.5v. Rechargeable can not/will not replace alkaline. //@Anonymous: Duracell and Costco both leak. Lot of misinformation regarding batteries floating around here. Also, if your batteries leak before using them and it’s before their dates the manufacture will reimburse you. Both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries have their specific uses. That has not changed for decades. Great price for 2 dozen brand name.
