Portsmouth NH has bunch of them for pick ip. It has been on sale since thanksgiving so most locations have run out of stock, probably a ‘to be discontinued soon model’ that’s why none of the stores are replenishing the stock. //@anonymous: What location? //@anonymous: Got one. Thank you!

Does it need any plans ?

FYI, it requires monthly subscription. Or, more exactly, it is useless without it. Some want, sone don't want to pay it.

monthly plan is optional, but recommended.
It works without monthly plan, the system will send alert to your phone app. //@Anonymous: FYI, it requires monthly subscription. Or, more exactly, it is useless without it. Some want, sone don't want to pay it.

Note of warning, this is version 2 which has an encryption vulnerability. When it made the news that anyone can hack into thess systems, Simplisafe said it wasn't a problem and downplayed how easy it was to bypass the alarms. Nonetheless, version 3 is stated to be secure despite no proof from the company. I recommend trading a security sign with your neighbors to confuse potential hackers.

lol Lockpickinglawyer made a video showing you can prevent Simplisafe alarms from going off if you just broadcast a 433.92MHz radio signal which is what a lot of baby monitors use.
