I have one and it works great. It’s reassuring to see that the radon level in my basement bedroom is usually no higher than 23 pCi/L.

Good to know it works great for you. I have been looking for one and reading some products are not accurate. Thanks for your comment. //@Anonymous: I have one and it works great. It’s reassuring to see that the radon level in my basement bedroom is usually no higher than 23 pCi/L.

I got one few month ago at Amazon when it was $99. It's very accurate.
My basement number is around 4 to 5 normally. recently the number jump to 20 to 30 after sevarl day's of rain (don't know what's the connection between radon number and rain), I have monitored this after 2 rains. So we decided to have a lab test by ording a test kit from amazon.com. Yes, the result returned, almost the same number. so the meter is accurate. (it's so sad everything is expensive in NJ already, we have to put extra $10 check inside the kit return envelope so that NJ people can have the lab test result!!!)

Should be number

Low barometric air pressure will increase the radon level because the pressure underground is basically constant. When the air pressure reduces, it is easier for the radon to be pushed out into your basement. At radon levels 4 or above, the standard recommendation is that you should consider a remediation system. //@Anonymous: I got one few month ago at Amazon when it was $99. It's very accurate.
