I bought this in 2019 for about $500, and I love it. I use it only with propane so I can store it indoors (not running). The power went out here for about a week this past winter, and I altered the wiring on my furnace to run the blower off a heavy duty extension cord. Between powering the (natural gas) furnace blower, the main fridge, and two storage batteries, I used about a quarter of a tank of propane for a week. I stayed warm and happy with unspoiled food. I'm also a petite woman, which is to say you don't necessarily need to be super strong to use this generator. Sometimes it can be a little tricky to start with propane, but there are how-to videos online to walk you through it. Once you've got the technique, it starts up quick, every time.
