Sadly, you are confusing Gen with Intel Gen. Yes, Intel Gen is i7 13 now, and the unit is i7 12. Please do not mislead potential buyers. Thinkpads are one of the best laptops on the market. I am still using my X230! //@Preparation: The current model is gen 13

You can still use it because your X230 never used low-temperature solder //@Anonymous: Sadly, you are confusing Gen with Intel Gen. Yes, Intel Gen is i7 13 now, and the unit is i7 12. I've been using ThinkPad T series since 2003. Every model lasted more than five years without noticeable performance issue. The only thing I do after 5 fives is to replace the battery and donate the unit or pass it to my kids.

45% NTSC is pretty much the lowest color accuracy on a IPS screen //@anonymous: The WUXGA display has 45% NTSC, 300 nits brightness and 60Hz refreshing rate

This is a business grade laptop. If you don't spill liquid on it, if you don't drop it, this laptop will easily last 5 years. We use them at my company as well as the Lenovo T series, i.e. T14 Gen 3.

Be careful Lenovo still uses low temperature solder (LTS) and black gel on Thinkpad line, that will lead to CPU soldering issues. There are numerous reports and videos on internet. Lenovo dropped LTS on other lines after 2021 but not Thinkpad //@anonymous: This is a business grade laptop.
