I got one of these for a trip to south America, but I found it useless. In order to get water out of a river, you need to lay on the ground and suck through one end while the other is in the water. You might be able to use it to filter tap water out of a cup, but if you have a cup, you probably have a microwave and might as well boil the water.

It's a tradeoff. You get some clean, filtered water to drink. Nope - this is not even Energizer Max. Keeps charge in storage for 7yrs vs 10 for the Max.
