Call customer service. Same thing happens with Sam’s Club. It seems like a semi-scam where they don’t give it to you until you call and ask where it is; as though they’re hoping most customers will just forget about it. //@anonymous: I never had received the $20

This is a scam; I have never received the Costco shop card; tried to call Costco and they said I should contact Groupon.

Leave costco. These pathetic capitalist just want to collect more money but poor Americans are scrambling for housing and medicine. Dont buy such expensive memberships, they will come down to road and beg you to shop in their stop.

Used to be $60 membership fee with a $40 gift card. Everything’s getting more expensive.

Oh okay, Costco will beg you to shop... that's why their stock just hit $900/share. Trust me, they don't need your business. //@anonymous: Leave costco. I heard this on the radio the other day. I forget how many members they have but it's in the millions. So do the math, $10 more for ex amount of million members. Absolute greed. //@mutongo: On September 1st Costco Gold Star Membership will increase from $60/year to $65/year and executive membership will increase from $120/year to $130/year.

1. Sign up for Costco.
2. Find an inkind restaurant in your area you want to attend.
3. Go directly to restaurant website and claim your $50 off $150 for signup. Sign up for In Kind account.
4. Buy $100 In Kind GC from Costco for $60.
5. Go to restaurant. Pay $60 for $150, then pay tip out of pocket. Total $90 for $180 restaurant bill.
6. Profit!

Take the card under another family member who is over 18 years old and add yourself as second card

COSTCO is becoming greedy and is no longer a great choice. They seem to believe people will continue to shop with them no matter what. They are increasing costs across the board except few baits, making their profits comparable to Sam's Club.

Yes that works. Another person in your family can join as a new member. However, don't add yourself as the 2nd member. Just share and use. Costco does require scanning membership card at the entrance but doesn't care if you are the person on the card or not. If the customer service asks about why the same address, you can say he/she's a renter or housemate. //@Anonymous: Take the card under another family member who is over 18 years old and add yourself as second card

Now some of the costco warehouse does enforce scanning. And it would make perfect rotation if you have at least 3 family members, because 3x12/18=2. //@anonymous: Yes that works.
