Stay away from H&R block! They messed up last year. Their server was frozen in the last -and the most busy- days of submission.

I use HRBlock for many years, it is okay, never got issue. Now IRS has many states to file the tax online for free, unfortunately my state still is not in the IRS list yet. I have to purchase the tax software for this year.

Try freetaxusa.com. Basic federal tax is free and you only have to pay for state, something like $15. //@Anonymous: I use HRBlock for many years, it is okay, never got issue. I have been using freetaxusa since 2010. This is the best app/tool for more than 95% Americans. I think HRB is the worst, facing several legal scrutinies. //@anonymous: Try freetaxusa.com. Last year, their system crashed right before the tax deadline, effectively wiping negative online reviews. This company is unreliable. Don't fall for their misleading discounts; if their system fails again, you'll be stuck paying for express shipping of paper forms or buying TurboTax a second time. Stick with free filing options or spend a little more for a more reliable competitor.

Yea, it osiclates between 25 and 40. It may get slightly cheaper just before the April 15 deadline but this is about as good as it's gonna get. //@anonymous: This a good deal?

Did they forget how to file taxes through USPS using envelopes and printed forms? //@Anonymous: Stay away from HR block! They messed up last year. Their server was locked and thousands of tax payers were not able to submit their tax returns.

They didn't forget. They're just not 110 years old and they don't still drive around in their horse and buggy. //@anonymous: Did they forget how to file taxes through USPS using envelopes and printed forms? //@Anonymous: Stay away from HR block! Some of us have pretty co.pledlx returns. Using software makes it easier, although just printing and mailing in the completed forms may have worked. I didn't have a problem submitting w hr bloc last year, but I had to wait for them to add the ev tax credit forms, which was annoying.

Yes, I had a serious and expensive problem thanks to h&r block at home home software, related to the ev tax credit. What was your problem? I'm curious if they screwed up anything else //@anonymous: Stay away from H&R block. They messed up last year.

H&R Block failed to auto import tax data in 2023 including at least Fidelity and discover. I brought on Thanksgiving 2023 and found this defect in Feb 2024. They refused to refund due to more than 3 months.

Never got any issue with HRBlock. I normally purchased it from Amazon. Looks that I'll buy HRBlock from NewEgg this year with this best offer so far.

I hope their platform does not stop working when you submit your return like thousands of citizens last year and you do not have to pay for another company or you have to submit it manually by paying overnight fee and having stress of that. Good luck to you with HR Block. //@Anonymous: Never got any issue with HRBlock. I normally purchased it from Amazon. Looks that I'll buy HRBlock from NewEgg this year with this best offer so far.

I just checked my last year docs. I submitted the return with HRBlock at about 9PM on 4/7/2024, a few hours later received the confirmation:
The IRS accepted your federal return on Mon Apr 08, 2024 02:54:23 AM
No issue at all.

Not sure what you meant by "messed up", but H&RB offers a 100% Accuracy Guarantee, which means if it makes an error on your tax return that results in penalties or interest, H&R Block will pay those fees for you. //@Anonymous: Even if it is free, stay away from H&R Block! They messed up last year.

Used HR for tax for the last 10 years without any issue. It comes with free federal efile which is pretty quick. For state efile, it will charge around $15-20. I will just print out and enter manually to my state tax portal. //@Anonymous: Even if it is free, stay away from H&R Block! They messed up last year.
