I personally think apple tags are useless for all practical purposes. It is at best works if it is in the same room as your phone. You move to a different location with as minimum as with 2-3 walls it does not work. It's crazy small for the price, but when you're a professional photographer (on the smaller side) and try editing on an Asus ProArt monitor, the Apple Studio Display is simply the best at color representation. Get an Apple Card and pay monthly using the EDU site for the discount.

The LG 5K display is good works well with macbooks and mini and studio and pretty much all macs. wait, it costs the same as the apple studio, guess that does not work for you huh ! //@anonymous: Over priced. While there is a cost aspect of it, there are not that many monitors comparable in quality to this at this price. Dell U4021QW ultrasharp is closest at a $300 cheaper ticket but its nowhere close to this quality on color gamut or brightness not to mention the lack of camera or speakers. The closest is the LG 5K ultrafine but it is of the same price as of today $1299 and its speakers are not upto sample - I have this monitor as well and I know. I am not trying to sell this monitor but slinging mud should be based on facts IMHO.

My co-worker was annoyed that his Studio display doesn't have any kind of multi input source support. He basically has to unplug one computer and plug in another. That would be a deal breaker for me. I switch my Dell between a desktop and laptop regularly.
