But I've decided that the net savings across all things I've bought through Dealsea outweighs the few things that end up unused. //@Anonymous: For many years of dealsea-er, i have plenty of unused out dated laptop i bought from dealsea. I plugged 7 of them into my 7 tvs and still have surpluses. I dont need any more streamer like roku. Thank you.

Roku is much easier to use, with all the channels well organized and easy to navigate. Like it a lot. //@Anonymous: We have firesticks on all our tvs. Picked up a new tv for our bedroom that happened to have roku built in, I have to say I'm impressed with the roku os. Easy to navigate, apps never hang or need to be manually closed like on the firestick sometime.

My gripe with the latest MBPs are Apple's strategy of soldering RAM and SSD to the motherboard thus making upgrades impossible. This isn't to be confused with long-term data that's stored on your hard drive, which stays there even when your computer is turned off.(info wouldn’t stay the your ram, the temporally memory pages are always on your SSD.) //@anonymous: Not entirely true. When you run out of ram, which is relatively easy to do with only 8gb,the computer is forced to use swap space which is basically your ssd drive. Swapping memory pages in and out of disk is slow. Your computer RAM is essentially short term memory where data is stored as the processor needs it. This isn't to be confused with long-term data that's stored on your hard drive, which stays there even when your computer is turned off.(info wouldn’t stay the your ram, the temporally memory pages are always on your SSD.) //@anonymous: Not entirely true. 1), M1 is super fast with no heat. 2), Mac is very efficient in using memory. I am a programmer converted from PC to MAC ~ 10 years ago, never look back. Of course, I bought a MacBook Pro, but I got a M1 MacBook Air for my son, he is very happy about it.

Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
