If 256G was not a single module like M1 Air, this is a great choice, but since it is not, go either m1 air or m1 pro, depending on your needs. I got both, one for my daughter and one for me, and yes, I tried M2 256G and M2 512G, but the former is slow, the latter is too expensive compared to its capability.

Know your usage before buying. This is a poor choice for every-day OS drive or as an upgrade for your PS5 due to dram-less QLC. But it's perfect for me trying to custom-build a NAS and need something small and cheap to boot up TrueNAS.

Who said they wanted the brand you like next week? //@anonymous: This is not a deal. With this price, one can easily get a much better product like Samsung EVO 1TB Gen4 from a local Best buy. They frequently have SSD sales every a few weeks. Gen4 SSDs are twice as fast as Gen3 SSDs.
