1), M1 is super fast with no heat. 2), Mac is very efficient in using memory. I am a programmer converted from PC to MAC ~ 10 years ago, never look back. Of course, I bought a MacBook Pro, but I got a M1 MacBook Air for my son, he is very happy about it.

Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

1)App compatibility issue, you have to use Rosetta2 for most software. 2)Unified memory architecture causes extremely excessive rewriting on SSD which is soldered and irreplaceable. //@sza: Don't be the beta testers. For laptop, 4060 is a sweet spot. Less than 10% slower than 4070 and 30% faster than 4050. 4070 is a real trash IMO //@anonymous: RTX4060 sucks

You may be using wrong battery. You need 2032 battery -- 2025 battery also work in powering it up but the capacity of 2025 battery is way smaller than 2032 and it will drain super quickly. //@Anonymous: Eats up battery quickly. Replaced batteries within 2 weeks.
