all label printers use thermal transfer technology, no ink/toner consumption at all, the thermal transfer has the advantage of low consumable cost and fast printing, but the downside is considerably low printing resolution. And the thermal mechanism dominated most of its cost. This dual printer model should be used in a fast pace environment like takeout counter to double printer efficiency and at this price point, this one is unbeatable //@Anonymous: Market share? Guys, there is a reason why FHD 27" are so cheap compare to FHD 23 or 24". While FHD 23-24" is acceptable but FHD 27" is horrific. Only novice users would buy FHD 27". Dude! Have you ever read anything on a 27" FHD monitor? Or compare how fonts look like between 27" FHD and 27" FHD. While it doesn't make much difference for 24" between FHD and QHD because you dont really need QHD on 24", but that extra 3" space make a huge difference.
