There are apps on cell phones that can do exactly the same thing with the exact same interface. However, cell phones are not allowed in classrooms. Because this is the standard tool for high school/college math education. Each school district/university has invested tons of money to buy these calculators. You can use those calculators for whatever you want, but you can't use those on tests. People know that if they want to pass the tests they need to learn the math.

7200 rpm for a NAS drive, which WD Red is technically designed for, is almost an oxymoron. Unless you are on 2.5 Gbps setup, a 5400 rpm drive will effectively use up all the network bandwidth on sustained read/write. If you care about burst read/write speed, then why bother with a HDD on the first place.

If you meant comparing with iPads. The mini has a better CPU than both 10th gen and 9th gen iPads. It can record 4K vidoes while only 10th gen iPad can. It supports 2nd gen Apple pen while neither gen's iPad can..... //@Anonymous: why mini more expensive?
