1), M1 is super fast with no heat. 2), Mac is very efficient in using memory. I am a programmer converted from PC to MAC ~ 10 years ago, never look back. Of course, I bought a MacBook Pro, but I got a M1 MacBook Air for my son, he is very happy about it.

Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

You may have allergic reaction with rubber. The AirPod Pro have an rubber part go into the ear channel. You may not have problem before but when we’re aging your body change. I learned it the hard way when I handled the poison ivy. Also you may not react to most of the other rubber but with the Apple’s rubber. Bought this at work. Two hudge disappointments: 1. software compability. Even my LG 34 inch monitor can't display properly and needs a driver, which is not avaiable. A lot other softwares (printer, etc.) need way too much attention 2. Surface pen does not work, even though this is a touch screen.

7200 rpm for a NAS drive, which WD Red is technically designed for, is almost an oxymoron. Unless you are on 2.5 Gbps setup, a 5400 rpm drive will effectively use up all the network bandwidth on sustained read/write. If you care about burst read/write speed, then why bother with a HDD on the first place.
