Why don't you change the rules in western countries? //@anonymous: We were not allowed to use any calculator (even simple shopkeeper’s) in 9th-12th grade, we did PDE, curves by hand.
In Engineering, we’re allowed to use “scientific” calculator which could only do exponential (base x) calculations.
When I moved to Western country, I was shocked to find that there are calculators which can do curves, pde, matrix … still happy that I did by hand.

How to say I didn’t go to any undergrad without saying I didn’t go to any undergrad? //@anonymous: It's totally a rip off for how much TI charges for a calculator. You can spend $100 buying a low budget tablet which does 100 times more than this thing can do.
By the way, kids are learning things that rarly use in real life in high school.

It’s not about competency of the teachers. It is about TI having an anti-competitive stranglehold on testing. //@anonymous: It's not about competition, but about the competency of teachers. There are apps on cell phones that can do exactly the same thing with the exact same interface. However, cell phones are not allowed in classrooms. Also, there are websites that can do a much better job, such as WolframAlpha, besides numerous excellent open-source math packages, but teachers are not used to using any computer-related tools. //@Anonymous: Because there is no competition. //@anonymous: I can't believe this calculator is so expensive in the age of smart phones.

Because this is the standard tool for high school/college math education. Each school district/university has invested tons of money to buy these calculators. remember, FHD = Full HD = its only 1080p.
and yes for 27', highly recommend 1440 or 2160 (4K). the price wasn't much different. Go do your research for 1440. you wont regret it to upgrade to UHD (1440) instead of just stick to FHD (1080p) cuz its cheap. If you use the monitor on daily basis, invest better ones. Long usage help your eyes as well.
