While expired medications can still work they become less effective. Some expired medications (ex. tetracyclines) can actually be harmful and should be avoided.

In my experience, most OTC drugs like this last far beyond their expiration dates. //@Anonymous: I bought this supposed deal once but received bottles with stale expiration dates. Beware!
