Update 11/12: With the new Air with M1 chip release, this previous generation model which is still pretty new (launched on March 18 2020), dropped another $100 from previous lowest deal price. M1 or Intel? you name it!

No doubt it won't be long before Apple stops supporting Intel processors. So your OS upgrade path is longer on the new systems with ARM chips.

Max pro is more powerful (=better CPU) so it can run heavy softwares vs. Max air. Instead, it is more expensive and heavier than Max air. //@anonymous: What’s the difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
