I think that’s up to the os, isn’t it? //@anonymous: A server is just a computer but it might have some specifics. For example, the computer won't go in the hibernate mode since a server is supposed to be available at any moment to process requests from clients. //@Anonymous: Can I use it as a desktop PC?

yes you can, If you install the Windows Home and Pro OS,it is basically a desktop computer with some disk array configuration capacity. You probably want to buy a graphic card and insert into it. //@Anonymous: Can I use it as a desktop PC?
