Think carefully before switching to Verizon.
Two months ago, I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and faced many hidden charges. When I spoke with a Verizon sales representative before switching, they assured me there would be no activation fees. However, my first bill included activation charges for all four lines.
My honest advice: visit a Verizon store in person and review your plan carefully before making any changes. The only real benefit I received was a new iPhone with a 3-year contract — but everything else came with unexpected costs.

I recently returned to Verizon for a deal on iPhone. However, they had never paid me back what they promised. They ask me to sign up for a new line as they said the previous deal expired then charge me both lines for a few months. I am stuck with them and feeling like being scammed. Worst customer services !

What’s the catch? 4 iPhone 16 phones and a decent plan for $100/month sounds too good to be true.

After talks to sales, the breakdown is if you upgrade to 512 g, you pay 120+ sales tax, a 35/line activation fee, and plus tax it is about 40/line each month with trade in of you old phone and 43.xx without trade in of your old phone. If you keep 128 g, the sale tax is still around 120, and you pay 31 each month with trade in of old phone. And 36 without trade in.

Thanks for your information. Each line is about $36/month, for 36-month contract. The total payment is about #1300. The phone (iPhone 16) sales price is about $1100 after tax, so the data is almost free. Thanks. //@Anonymous: After talks to sales, the breakdown is if you upgrade to 512 g, you pay 120+ sales tax, a 35/line activation fee, and plus tax it is about 40/line each month with trade in of you old phone and 43.xx without trade in of your old phone. $5,300+ commitment (including the activation fees) is a bit too much. I would rather be on the lookout for deals with the MVNOs like Mint, USM, Boost, or H2O. My friend has USM unlimited data (10 gigs 5G) Verizon (no data downgrade) connection for $180 a year incl tax. He also got an unlocked Pixel 9 phone for $400. //@Anonymous: Thanks for your information. Each line is about $36/month, for 36-month contract. The total payment is about #1300. Activation fees waived.
Total cost = ($100/month + tax) x 36 months + $345 tax onetime - $300 credit.

inflation and tarriffs will make $2,000 per phone sound cheap. Just wait for $3,000 phones around the corner.
