FYI, I bought MF743cdw in 2020 for $350. It wasn't a deal back then. This 741 can't be much better than 743 and it's $490 now.

Ah, you were one of them that bought out the MF743cdw at $350. I have been watching that for the past 5 years now. That $350 price was sold out in a matter of couple hours back in 2020. Don't hold your breath for that kind of price any more. It belongs to the bygone era. Sigh... //@Anonymous: FYI, I bought MF743cdw in 2020 for $350. It wasn't a deal back then. It is a CANON. Dealsea omitted the brand name-not everybody recognizes "ColorImage" as Canon. Please update with the brand name.

Everybody learned that thru covid. we raised the price on the OEM product as well. realize ppl will pay anyways. Used to be just sell at cost and collect the money through MRO. That's why people felt about "inflation" because yeah, the pricing structure and perspective changed. //@Anonymous: Printer manufacturers used to sell printers at loss and recover the cost with toners. Good printer. I paid $444 last month. Set up was a smooth, with the installing software first and wifi set up on the printer later. Hasn't disappoint me so far. No paper jam nor toner issues. Goes into sleep mode but never disconnect from the wifi network.

Canon quality is no more.
The air print was slow and sporadic. And when you add a non-Canon ink, they intentionally turn off some features and you have to keep resetting it.
Sorry, they should focus on delivering a better product, than creating new hurdles to force people buying their ink.
