If the rebate comes from Samsung for the trade-in, pass on the deal. I've been screwed over by Samsung in the past on their "trade-in" offers. Sent in a perfect Note 5, said it was worth $300, they only gave me a $25 credit because the phone had too much wear and tear. I am not kidding when I say it did not have a scratch on it. Screw these trade in offers.

yes.. that was due to lack of confidence from Samsung when iphone 8 and X was getting launched. They feared S8 and S8+ may not fair well. But, it happened opposite.
