This speakers sucks. I'm spoiled by the superior quality of Bose and when I bought a BOOM 2 to try out, I returned it in less than 30 mins.

This should be compared to the Bose Soundlink Mini. The Boom's sound quality is probably slightly worse than the Bose, but the Boom is louder, more portable (better for outdoor use, splash proof), and can pair with other Boom's for stereo + multi-speaker use. IMO at this price point, the Boom is a no-brainer superior deal for most use-cases. //@Anonymous: This speakers sucks. If the rebate comes from Samsung for the trade-in, pass on the deal. I've been screwed over by Samsung in the past on their "trade-in" offers. Sent in a perfect Note 5, said it was worth $300, they only gave me a $25 credit because the phone had too much wear and tear. I am not kidding when I say it did not have a scratch on it. Screw these trade in offers.

yes.. that was due to lack of confidence from Samsung when iphone 8 and X was getting launched. They feared S8 and S8+ may not fair well. But, it happened opposite.
