I bought it in November 2023 for $1000. It's a great laptop. According to the spec it was using DDR4 with max of 32GB. It turned out that mine was using DDR5. Also a 3rd party freeware indicated that it might be upgraded to max of 64GB. I upgraded my with DDR5 32GB ( 16GB x 2) and the laptop runs very fast. I bought it for video editing not for games. The upgrading is very simple process and video is easy to find on youTube. Also there is an empty slot for additional .M2 module in case if you want add space.

128gb ssd one from HP is the next configuration
They should have only added 64 gb and let people upgrade to 512gb
