Here is the math
10% = 9.09% Off
25% = 20% Off
50% = 33% Off
Save your points to purchase the air ticket through Chase. You can find a similar discount in other store for Apple products.

I have Sapphire Preferred (not Reserve), I still get 25%. However, I want to emphasize that the points worth 25% doesn't mean 25% off. After the conversion, it is only 20% off. This is a trick of math that allow Chase to sound like more benefit reward.

50% here. But how do I get enough points to cover an Imac Pro in a short period of time? Now only 50k points.

Yea, so in my case (I have the same card) a 999 phone was offered for 79,900 points. Assuming a 1 cent valuation, that's 800 bucks. :) Sounds like 20% to me.
Still not gonna bite, I'll save my 120K points for travel. Tempting though. //@Anonymous: I have Sapphire Preferred (not Reserve), I still get 25%. If you have multiple cards that produce ultimate rewards, you can combine them into a single account, you may also be able to combine with your spouse. You can sign up for one of other cards that has a sign up bonus, but with less than a month, getting the card, meeting the spending limit and getting the bonus is unlikely. //@Anonymous: 50% here. Bought 2 DSW gift cards and Amazon gave 50% off when buying with Amex point. On Amex website I see 7142 points are gone plus a charge of 50$. Wtf! Where is the 50% off? 7,142 points + $50 = $100 no discount at all.

Cancel your order! Just use 1 point. IT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
$1 of AMZN item is worth 125 points.
So, that means, to use $30 of items, you'd need to use 3750 points.
even with the $10 which you got back, it's less than the amount you'd spend if you used the points for other items.
for example, if you use those points in grocery shopping, you'd be able to buy $46.88 worth of items for your 3750 points.

You don't need to use "all points" for purchase. You could use as few as "1 point" and put rest on other payment methods. //@Anonymous: IT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

I don't see how you can use only 1 point. It appears you have to use at least $1's worth of points, which is 125 points. //@cheetah: You don't need to use "all points" for purchase. You could use as few as "1 point" and put rest on other payment methods. //@Anonymous: IT'S NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
