The only thing I'll add is that for the advanced features it requires AC power.

to use any features beyond basic (1 gb max for all new and old recordings), any higher resolution (more data else 1gb limit), motion detection on section of screen/zone(requires AC power), battery life (about a week) ... totally useless ..might as well get a cheap $20 720p camera //@Anonymous: i never pay anything else for using the arlo.are we talking about the same camera?

I did this a few days before dealsea posted this link. I also never got it to work with the white kindle. it would apply it but when i completed the purchase the charges went back up and i had to cancel the order. I actually called amazon they didnt even know what i was talking about and i had to send them the link and a screenshot. The next day i tried again with the black one and it worked just fine. I was really wanting a white one but ill settle because its a great deal. I paid 17 for the paperwhite when it was all said and done.
