PS5 and the new RTX cards are coming out, QHD gaming is dead time to upgrade to 4K

Goodluck getting 144hz 4k even with the 3080 next gen. 144hz is the sweet spot for 144fps ultra settings for the next gen consoles.
Who wants to game at 4k ultra 60 fps? Doom Eternal (an easy benchmark for great graphics but high frame rate) barely cracks 125 fps. //@anonymous: PS5 and the new RTX cards are coming out, QHD gaming is dead time to upgrade to 4K

lol are you a pro gamer? why are you so fixated on refresh rate. 4K @60fps is plenty enough for 90% of the games don't believe me just look at how many ppl are buying ps5. You can still do 144hz on 1080p you just don't need an expensive gpu or monitor //@Anonymous: Goodluck getting 144hz 4k even with the 3080 next gen. 144hz is the sweet spot for 144fps ultra settings for the next gen consoles.

I have been using it for 4 months and found that it start to make a minor scratch on my IPad. Also, surprised to search that it has been a common problem in online community. Be aware...

Mine had the same problem too.
I upgraded it to Magic Pro Max and it doesn’t scratch anymore.
Magic Pro Max is only $599. //@anonymous: I have been using it for 4 months and found that it start to make a minor scratch on my IPad. Also, surprised to search that it has been a common problem in online community. Be aware...

Reminder that the Playstation Vita was $250 USD during release in 2011 (equivalent to $348 USD in 2023), a system which alongside having the ability to stream games from both the PS3 and PS4, allowed you to play native games and use it for other purposes like web browsing, mp3 player, emulation, etc.

As a father of two tiny people, this is a godsend so I can play without hogging the TV. But make sure you look into it before buying, it's very limited. Only works only home wifi, NO BLUETOOTH FOR HEADPHONES, only wired headphones will work unless you pay $150 or $200 for their two new headphone options. The old Pulse 3D headset I already have won't even work. Some disappointing lack of features for sure, but again I am still very excited to get one for my personal situation

Negative. you can play anywhere as long you have a Wifi connection and your PS5 is in Sleep. The portal will wake up your PS5 from Starbucks Wifi! //@Anonymous: As a father of two tiny people, this is a godsend so I can play without hogging the TV. With all due respect, are you absolutely sure? This is counter to every description I've read. You have to be on your home Wi-Fi, according to Sony. I figured there may be a tricky hacker-man way to play remotely, but it doesn't appear to be intended. //@anonymous: Negative. you can play anywhere as long you have a Wifi connection and your PS5 is in Sleep. Can PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player only be played on my home Wi-Fi network?
While your home Wi-Fi network represents a great option to use PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player because you have control over the quality of your own home Wi-Fi, it is not required. PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player can also be played wherever you have access to broadband internet Wi-Fi with at least 5Mbps for use*. For a better play experience, a high-speed connection of at least 15Mbps is recommended. If you are using public Wi-Fi, be aware that the quality of the internet connection may be out of your control, and could impact the quality of your play experience.https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-accessories/playstation-portal-remote-player //@Anonymous: With all due respect, are you absolutely sure? This is not even the REAL portable device. Its merely extension of your PS5 console. It wont work without your main PS5 console. Thats why the price is $199. Tbh, its ridiculous stupid. the device have to stay within the perimeter of your wifi & your PS5 console. It looks cool etc, its not the real portable device. Thats my 2 cents. //@anonymous: Reminder that the Playstation Vita was $250 USD during release in 2011 (equivalent to $348 USD in 2023), a system which alongside having the ability to stream games from both the PS3 and PS4, allowed you to play native games and use it for other purposes like web browsing, mp3 player, emulation, etc.

i think the point they are making is that the vita is a $250 full-fledged portable console while this is a $200 screen and controller that cannot operate away from your $400 console... it does kinda seem like a step backwards in technology. //@anonymous: So what? //@Anonymous: Reminder that the Playstation Vita was $250 USD during release in 2011 (equivalent to $348 USD in 2023), a system which alongside having the ability to stream games from both the PS3 and PS4, allowed you to play native games and use it for other purposes like web browsing, mp3 player, emulation, etc.

I think they’d never make that again since no one is developing games for a mobile platform outside of phones. PSP/vita and ds games were mobile only games whereas even the switch lite plays full switch games. I think this if fine as an accessory esp since it’s the same price as their elite controller and people were pumped about that. For my purposes I picked up a refurb steam deck from GameStop for about 30 bucks more, installed chiaki so I can stream from ps5 and heroic launcher so I can play my free epic games, and can still play most steam titles and emulation

I have one, can't live without it. That being said, lag is an issue. It's almost certainly not even bandwidth dependent. It can be frustrating, but most people can find a solution. I get brief lag for about 1-2 seconds, which can happen either every minute or two, or maybe once in 30 minutes. Reading up on it, this is extremely common. Jsyk

Anonymous
imagine spending $400 (ps5)+$200(this) instead of a steam deck and actually dealing with lag

Anonymous
Just get a steam deck or legion or something similar. Absolutely don't make sense to pay money just to play online with friends. Games also much cheaper too.

there is no reason for this to exist when the steam deck, asus rog ally, and lenovo legion go do the same things but better and dont need a home console anchoring you down

no they're not. a PS5 is $400 and this is $200 so that's $600 meanwhile a Asus Rog Ally is only $400, Steam Deck even less. //@Anonymous: those are 3 time more expensive! //@Anonymous: there is no reason for this to exist when the steam deck, asus rog ally, and lenovo legion go do the same things but better and dont need a home console anchoring you down

This is pretty much a waste of money. Your gameplay depends on your internet connectivity. If you're in areas w/ poor internet connection, you're done. I regret buying this.

I don't think it's dependent on internet connectivity. Wi-Fi, I believe, is more important. But even then, it can lag for unknown reasons. Mine does and I have great internet and wifi //@anonymous: This is pretty much a waste of money. Your gameplay depends on your internet connectivity. With my original ps5, a dumb step that worked to stop the lag was leaving the TV on WHILE I played on the portal. Since I bought a ps5 pro, I no longer have any lag issues. //@anonymous: I don't think it's dependent on internet connectivity. Wi-Fi, I believe, is more important. I would avoid AOC monitors at all costs. If you are looking for a cheap monitor, go for Acer or Asus. There are plenty of choices.

I had AOC FHD for years and it was pretty much the same as Lenovo and HP. Currently 2 have two 2K AOC monitors and happy with them. //@Anonymous: I would avoid AOC monitors at all costs. If you are looking for a cheap monitor, go for Acer or Asus. There are plenty of choices.
