Not much of a deal - because you will have to stay with Verizon for 24 months. The lowest monthly plan with 2GB data is priced at $55/month +TF. I have been using Simple Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO) which costs me $22.50/month (all inclusive, with auto pay). The difference in price comes to $780 over a 24 month period.
There is a difference in coverage quality between TMUS and Verizon. But if you live in a big metro, it is negligible. Just my two cents...

New customers add at least 2 new lines of service and existing customers add at least 1 new line of service on any postpaid T-Mobile voice plan.
Since a new line activation is required for this offer, you can't cancel a line with the intention of activating a new line just to take advantage of this offer. If a line has been canceled within the past 90 days, it must be resumed before you can add a brand-new line to qualify. //@Anonymous: No new line needed //@Anonymous: require for a new line for old customers too, it’s still not fair for existing customers.

Instant price off doesn't need new line. The trade-in rebate for Costco customer doesn't need new line, either. //@Anonymous: New customers add at least 2 new lines of service and existing customers add at least 1 new line of service on any postpaid T-Mobile voice plan.

Do we need to add new line? I want to trade in my 5s. I am an existing T-Mobile customer. How much do I have to pay for iPhone 8 including $100-$200 rebate from costco?
Anonymous
I went there to get iPhone X 64gb today for $699.99. This does not need to add a new line. But trade-in needs to add a new line or port in a number.

For existing customer, can we cancel the added line later after we get trade in rebate?
