Turbo tax was setting the price too high. Some of the users shift to H&R. When the customers change to use H&R, they will barely come back unless H&R has significant defect. The market enforce the price. //@Anonymous: Cheaper than on Black Friday, unfair!

Costco also has a deal. I prefer that over Amazon’s. It gives $10 credit that can be used towards e-filing state tax returns.

Yep, I thought TBTax was too expensive and tried H&R for one year. It was so painful using H&R that was not worth saving a few tens of $s. I am asking because H&R charges $40 for each additional state program download. I need to file three states for my family members, so two additional states will be $80. I checked on the website (click the small print under the price): only one state return is included, each additional state return cost $40 (maybe $45 after Feb 2024?). Yes, it expires with tax filing limit of October 2024. Why would you want to save it any longer? Use it to pay for state tax e-filing. If you buy from Amazon, you get credit to shop on Amazon (and no price match). But will have to pay $10 extra out of pocket for any additional turbo tax filing charge. //@anonymous: Costco credit expires in Oct. Only facts were stated and you brought in your bias opinions. People file past the e-file deadline all the time by mail and this includes state.
