Same here! It took multiple repair people 4 trips (and a lot of spoiled food) to get my LG fridge repaired. I won't buy LG again. //@Anonymous: Mine is same as like yours. I don’t recommend it. Anyone who buys a Samsung appliance is asking for trouble. They repeatedly break down, horrible reliability, technicians who refuse to work on them, & the inability to get replacement parts is just the tip of the iceberg. Stay as far as possible away from Samsung and LG. The Koreans make good phones and TVs, but absolute junk with appliances.

I agree about the quality of Samsung refrigerators. The one I had was terrible. The worst thing about it was just cosmetic. The metal they use is super thin and dents easily. Some of the internal plastic shelving wasn't particularly well made either. Broke apart after years of use.

I would disagree about bundling in LG with Samsung for quality though. In my experience, LG makes excellent appliances (esp. laundry machines)

my Lg side-by-side broke twice in the last 6 years. at 3 years the liner compressor stopped working, and this year it compressor stopped working again.
