There are plenty of scenarios that you can use it. Mawn your lawn. Work with kids fighting each other, watching special videos at night, etc. //@Anonymous: Good, not great. But I mostly use for flights so not very valuable these days

I compared 700 and QC 35 II at a moderately noisy Bestbuy. I couldn't tell any difference in noise cancelling, but 700 was noticeably tighter. I ended up buying QC 35 II.

Even the old QC35 is cheaper, with similar noise cancelling, better sound quality, doesn’t have the much noted connectivity issues and is far more comfortable. Unless you need it to make phones calls, why would you buy this over the QC35 for more money?
Then there is Sony’s XM1000-4 coming up. That is more comfortable, has FAR better sound quality and ANC. Why buy this over that? //@anonymous: what makes you say that. Wait for Sony xm1000-4 which should be better Bose 700. As of today, QC35II has the most comfort over others. I always wear it when taking international flights
