What does “upgrade” mean exactly? I’ve been a Verizon customer since 2013 and this would be my 3rd iPhone - do I qualify for this pricing?

I was looking for the differences among the iPhone SE (2020) AT&T model, Verizon model and SIM-free model. Could someone clarify if I plan to use both carriers on this phone, which model should I get?

Is Samsung S20 a better deal?

no experience about Verizon but I would not recommend falling into this upgrade trap for AT&T - they make false claims and promises and never give you the discounts promised, you end up paying more and be locked in for 24/30 months. Better to buy unlocked from Apple/eBay //@Anonymous: What does “upgrade” mean exactly? I’ve been a Verizon customer since 2013 and this would be my 3rd iPhone - do I qualify for this pricing?

Very bad experience with AT&T, and will never look back. Run away from AT&T if you can.

I had very bad customer service with ATT today, they are disgusting. Be careful when you do business with them, they don't respect customers. Charges more too. //@Anonymous: Very bad experience with AT&T, and will never look back. Run away from AT&T if you can.

One has to go to the Walmart store to set up. Pass under the risk of covid 19

Not to be pedantic, but "points worth 20% more" is not the same as "save 20%". If your points are worth 20% more then 1 point = $1.20, or equivalently 1 point / $1.20 = 0.833 points per dollar. So it's roughly a 17% discount.

Only got 5% more in my account, not 20%:(

You don’t have to pay taxes with points. Is that so?

Chase Ultimate Rewards points worth 2 cents each. So 20% more (1.2 cents) is not the best redemption. Save the points for future travels.

Does this mean you have to keep the new line for 24 months or can you join existing plans after a certain period?

My guess is that you need to keep the service, paying 70/month for 24 months. Otherwise you likely need to pay their (inflated) price in full.
Just buy an unlocked one and use it on whatever plan you can find, many are 30/month. //@Anonymous: Does this mean you have to keep the new line for 24 months or can you join existing plans after a certain period?
