Generic toners are not equivalent to canon toners unfortunately. Best to stick with canon so as not to be disappointed.

Stick to canon toners? Unfortunately they are very costly. Replacing the whole toners will be almost like paying for a second printer.

That's right! I have an older Canon bw printer. Used it for a whole decade. I still have a Canon toner for it if I want to use it again. When it said it's out of toner, it's for real, not like these new ones you can keep printing hundreds of pages after toner low or 0% is reported. I never used generic brands. Has anyone used bw printer for a decade on generic toner? Maybe I overpaid Canon for toners. //@anonymous: Stick to canon toners? Unfortunately they are very costly.
