I can’t think of any sports where watch would come in contact with dirt and mud. Such a bad design. //@anonymous: The white sport band is another bit of innovative genius from Apple.

The red ring around the crown is such a groundbreaking, innovative and modern solution. Apple is the best watch maker in the entire world. Nothing beats Apple.

I never even noticed that! And you are so right! It's amazing how Apple includes so many revolutionary yet subtle features in their products. Most companies would brag about something like a red ring around the crown; but not Apple! They just put their head down and keep working on more amazing products. //@anonymous: The red ring around the crown is such a groundbreaking, innovative and modern solution. Too sad to see Casio, the King of digital watches is not doing well in the smarth watch game

You're right. They have a real opportunity do do something with the brand name, but so far they've done nothing. The only value they bring now is the long battery life. Pretty soon, the young generation won't even know how to set the time on these things. //@Anonymous: Too sad to see Casio, the King of digital watches is not doing well in the smarth watch game

Love this little thing. Big dial but pretty thin. The big font is the most delightful thing of it.

Does everything needs to be "smart" ? I personally like the watch that only shows time, doesn't look obnoxious and lasts 10 years on single battery. Perhaps they decided that dinosaurs like me still have buying power //@Anonymous: You're right. They have a real opportunity do do something with the brand name, but so far they've done nothing. So the NSEW markings on the bezel are just for looks and aren't actually part of a compass function?

For you they are because you don’t understand what they are for. NESW on a circle isn’t just for compasses. //@anonymous: So the NSEW markings on the bezel are just for looks and aren't actually part of a compass function?

Really? This is how you do your research? Once you find your bearings you can then use landmarks you set at North or South then reference while traveling. You can use the hour hand to find South based on the median between where the Sun is and 12 o clock on the dial if you are in the northern hemisphere. This is only because you said you were interested to know. If you want to know more then look up analog clock compass. //@anonymous: Ok I'll bite, what is it for? //@Anonymous: For you they are because you don’t understand what they are for.
