Recently tried to buy a printer and it was incredibly difficult. Sold out everywhere, no deals.

I think HP LaserJet Pro M283cdw is better. Costco has it with 299 after 100 discount. Last thanksgiving they give $150 off.

Offbrand TN760 high yield toner is quite cheap. HP maybe less reliable than brother these days? //@Anonymous: I think HP LaserJet Pro M283cdw is better. Costco has it with 299 after 100 discount. Last thanksgiving they give $150 off.

I’ve had this printer at my business for about 2.5 years now, about 5 teams a month. Toner is relatively cheap and the monochrome helps a lot since color printers these days won’t work with out all cartridge not empty.

for all these years all the businesses I worked in and visited, the printers were HP, Cannon, Epson. Never saw a single Brothers printer in any business. Why people here say Brothers printer is better?

I recently bought the Brother HL-L2300D Monochrome Laser Printer - from amazon - 99$ - it said oct 30 ship date but was shipped yesterday - will get it tomorrow

It depends on what you use it for. For large company that demands heavy duty printers with long term support, you go for the Cannon/HP/Epson. For small scale office or home use, Brothers is arguably more suitable. It's often cheaper to start. //@Anonymous: for all these years all the businesses I worked in and visited, the printers were HP, Cannon, Epson. Never saw a single Brothers printer in any business. I was a HP printer lover and did not buy anything else. They used to be great printers. My wife has a brother MFC at her office. Great work horse. A lot better than the HP printers I bought for my work place. //@Anonymous: for all these years all the businesses I worked in and visited, the printers were HP, Cannon, Epson. Brother printer is cheap, but not very good quality. For home office usage and kids course study, maybe it is enough. My Brother printer now can only use the manual paper feed because one plastic component is broken after 7 years. Not worthy to repair. Will replace this printer once the ink is out.

The greed was not Target/Walmart. It was the Ocean Carriers. I work in international supply chain and a 40' container used to cost $1500 Asia to Long Beach Port. The ocean carriers raised the prices to $11,000 and in some cases $25,000 for the same 40' container. Supply and demand. $110 is probably break even at this point. 1st cost went up at manufacturer, Ocean freight was a pure rip off, Trucking and warehousing went up. Google Maersk profits - $17 billion in profit.

Buy now unavailable
Buy now is experiencing technical difficulties, but you can still add this item to your cart and check out.
Why I still see this deal everyday even it's not available?

Item is available. "Buy now" feature on walmart is not available - that probably just means you have not set it up. You can just add to your cart and check out. //@Anonymous: Buy now unavailable

Greedy companies pump up the price using supply chain as an excuse. Target has to reduce price for many merchandise. Why? Too many! Wait to buy at $50 unless you must use it.

Work from home is decreasing so the demands for computers and printers are slowing down. Not only we will see used computing equipments flooding the market next year, computing equipment demands will not exist as the economy falls deeper into recession. Expect to see these back to $49.99.
Anonymous
Will be $69.99 by the summer. With E-office movement and work-from-home shifting back to office, demand for printers is diminishing especially when the economy is expected to head into a recession. Retailers will need to get rid of their inventory before these machines rust a way in the warehouse.
