if you bought your membership last week I would go and return the membership and go get a new membership...I would imagine that would work well since you just joined a week ago.

I have been with Costco since 2001 and it wouldn't be worth it for me for a few bucks to try to do this but for a brand new membership it could work. //@Anonymous: I bought my membership last week, Does that deal applicable?

There are several tiers of membership at Costco. I’ve paid $120 for years. It may sound a lot, but you get 2% cash back on how much you spent. Just received my check in the amount of $148, so it’s free for my family. Well, it’s not free, but you get the idea.
