AMZN has database to record members reward activities.
You won't be able to get reward twice had you already been one.

I got 50% but seems like it applies to nothing. Tried a 100 Amazon gift card and it didn't work. They want 14k+ AE points for a $100 gift card.

I linked my Chase card and unless I'm missing the point here somewhere I didn't see anything that said that I had any percentage off.
And I have about $37 in rewards on it already.

Bought 2 DSW gift cards and Amazon gave 50% off when buying with Amex point. On Amex website I see 7142 points are gone plus a charge of 50$. Wtf! Where is the 50% off? 7,142 points + $50 = $100 no discount at all.

Cancel your order! Just use 1 point. The discount should be shown on the final page before you place the order //@anonymous: Bought 2 DSW gift cards and Amazon gave 50% off when buying with Amex point. My membership expired two years ago, but the site still does not allow me to sign up for a new membership offer. In my area, there are three Costcos and two Samsclub within 20 minutes' driving range. Doing this is dumb for Sam's Club.

Not guaranteed. New offers stipulate that corporate will email you the $45. I assigned up last week, still haven't seen it. Not holding my breath. //@Anonymous: go to the store customer service and you will get one //@Anonymous: i signed up last month and havent got the gc yet

I didn't get GC from last year's deal either, It's not a trusted company, not interest in their membership offer anymore, they just don't want to make things simpler. You have to use a new email to show you as new to them. //@Anonymous: Not guaranteed. New offers stipulate that corporate will email you the $45. I assigned up last week, still haven't seen it. After contacting customer service (chat service), they told me to wait for 4 weeks. I waited for 4 weeks and then contacted again. I got my e-gift card.
Sam's club in-store customer service told same thing. Store has nothing to do with this.
