For those who don't know: "New" Macbook Pro's come with nearly 3 year old processors, unless you pay for an upgraded model.

8th gen is way better than 7th. Yet improvement from 8 to 10 is tiny.

For most old gen i5 will get job done, for those who require video editing, or processor power would not have looked at entry level macbook pro even if it had latest gen i5, they would have picked up i7 instead.

Wondering if Apple has plan to adopt AMD Ryzen CPU in MacBook.
Anonymous
Apple lowered the entry level models by cutting corners. 2-3 year old CPU, only two thunderbolt ports on one side. The only difference from previous model are ‘switching back’ to old good keyboard and expand RAM to 256GB.

I actually had a very good experience with this bundle. I purchased it last November 2020, then I totally forgot about it. Until a few days ago in February, I purchased in Target App and my order automatically reduced $10, it made me realize I should have another $100 in apple.
I called Target immediately and got transferred many times. Long in short, Target talked to Apple and issued me $100 in email. And I used it in my Apple account without any problem.

I got the best buy deal for a $20 gift card on black friday. Still dealing with the repercussions. Used the $100 Apple GC and my credit card to buy a new ipad (329) and trade in my old one ($75 should have gone back to my credit card). Also bought a $63 case.
Trade in is accepted, they give me a new $75 gift card, not a credit card refund! Case returned and refunded, but they sent me a $25 Apple gift card (prob bc the original GC was $100 ad 75 plus 25 is 100) instead of a $63 gift card or just a CC refund like I expected. Been fighting for 6 weeks now to get my remaining $38 back. I had to use the unwatned gift cards they gave me as a refund to buy an apple pencil which is cute but would rather have the $100 or actually, the $138.
Bottom line if you want to buy an apple pencil or other $100 item from Apple, good deal. If you mix with a credit card on a larger purchase as part of a trade in or something else you might return, be prepared for a world of hurt. Not worth the extra $10 or $20 bonus for the hours I have spent trying to get my money back.

not worth. regret I bought it. only used three times since I bought it. not comfortable. noise cancellation is mediocre. sound quality is so so.when running, it pounds in the ear. it is a mixed of nothing. now when I need better sound quality, I use monster, when need noise cancellation I use Bose, when in sport I use backbeat.

Just the opposite here, I use it pretty much every day and love it. The noise cancelling is phenomenon and I don't really have to turn it on to block out most of the noises. //@Anonymous: not worth. regret I bought it. only used three times since I bought it. not comfortable. noise cancellation is mediocre. sound quality is so so.when running, it pounds in the ear. it is a mixed of nothing. now when I need better sound quality, I use monster, when need noise cancellation I use Bose, when in sport I use backbeat.
