Maybe this person wants to pay outright. No need to overreact, you might actually offend someone. //@anonymous: So, you want $1000 cash credits on your used phone? I would be laughing any idiot or even kindergarten er doing business like such????. //@anonymous: I contacted Apple, who said the trade-in value would be included in the $1000 bill credits. It doesn't make any sense to me. Any thoughts?

Only provider offering up to $1K in bill credits is AT&T. What is there not to understand? You need a trade-in for the max credits. AT&T can tell you which phones you will get the highest trade-in values for. //@anonymous: I contacted Apple, who said the trade-in value would be included in the $1000 bill credits. This sounds like the AT&T I know. //@anonymous: Chatted with ATT agent for the upgrade from XS Max to 13 Pro and got $1000 off doe each phone. I upgraded to the 512gb and because I wasn’t in an unlimited plan (required for promo) my bill was exactly the same as before. But my previous bill did not include any hardware charges so I got these phones for FREE even though I am paying $8/mo per line in hardware costs. It did rise overall due to me adding the $8.99/mo insurance but that is totally optional. Got a $10/mo discount because I am working and they waived activation fees because I’m a loyal customer 10+ years //@anonymous: Check on att website. Two ways to check: 1) upgrade your line and select a device, select trade in during process, choose XSMax, 1000 off when buying pro or promax. Keep in mind, if you select 13, then only $800 @att. 2) tradein dot att dot com, select your phone to determine the worth of xsmax, if it is 180 or more you are eligible for $1000 off on pro or promax. First one give you good data than 2nd //@anonymous: Where did you trade the 10s max to get 1k? //@anonymous: Just traded my iphone 10 s max for 1000 bucks. basically getting this phone for free. thanks for the deal

sheep //@Anonymous: and yet tens of millions of iPhones will be sold again... why? because no other phones still can't compete iPhone in areas where it matters such as battery life, longest software support, camera, processor chip etc... it's marketing plays a big role but you simple can't inflate valuation to 2.5 trillion with just words

//@Anonymous: Guys!!

Here seems an idiotic!! It is worth to read and understand then interpreting foolish way. Did you read/understand that guy’s theme? //@anonymous: Not at al! Who would be that idiot to trade in a pretty new ip13 less than a year by signing on another long term contract and losing significant amount of relatively new ip13 value again? //@anonymous: This is not 100% true. If you are with a good carrier (like previous T mobile), they offer you trade options every year. The thing is your pocket contribution, that may differ by market competition but still you can trade without any hesitation. Your previous balances still intact to your account as you agreed. They dont care about the phone/device but your term contract is crucial. Make sense? //@anonymous: when you again locked-in for another 24-30 months trade-in contract, you will absolutely miss the next big iphone 14 update with completely new model. This year ip13 was just extension of iphon 12 prototype sale for another year. think twice when jumpin.

By anonymous on 09/17/2021, 04:06 PM EDT
Trade in value is too low to trade in. Essentially no discount.

Yes, I absolutely agree. If you decide to use the trade in, you must be super cautious. ATT is notorious for not paying ack the money for your old phone. No way to take back even when you do not agree with their evaluation. //@anonymous: yes, AT&T has the award of worst customer satisfaction in US. Sometime back, a rep knocked my door and said unlimited internet 40$ per month and 100$ gift card. When I switched to AT&T, I got a bill of 90$ on the third day. After a month I got again 89$ odd bill, didn't get gift card. When I called call center, they said they don't have a proof that sales person gave you that options and they can't offer it either. I returned the equipment and cancelled the service. They have very shady customer service..only reputation they have is they are very old company and deep roots in the country..otherwise, dealing with T-Mobile is way better than AT&T //@Anonymous: I had a very bad experience with AT&T about their trade-in promotions. They set the value of my almost-new iPhone 8 as $13.5. To get the full trade-in credit of $800, I had to talk with several representatives (but did not work), and finally had to report the problem to BBB. I read about a lot of similar cases on the web

Luckily, I could get the full credit through BBB & AT&T's president office. But,I strongly recommend you to video record your old phone (--AT&T said my phone did not turn on -- LIE) while you are packing (as a proof) to prevent any hassle that I have experienced.

Good luck!

There was such reward program for Iphone 12. I was $700 trade-in (but not 800. Maybe someone was confusion) and I had a pretty similar bad experience too. Be warned. //@anonymous: There is no such reward. You fell for a scam from a 3rd party salesman. They act like they work for the company but are independent. Then they say you will get discounts but really all you do is sign a regular contract and they get credit. I’ve seen some with photocopied “badges”. There are laws and regulations for major companies promising discounts and cannot force you into a contact. Work directly with authorized dealers/representatives and get everything in writing. //@anonymous: yes, AT&T has the award of worst customer satisfaction in US.
