If count inflation, $429 now is cheaper than $399 last year.

Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

They all have AMOLED
Looks like the only substantial upgrade over the S21 is (at the lowest level which is what I have) is the main sensor on the camera, and a new processor which appears to have very tiny gains. It's a little smaller and has a smaller battery, but supports lower refresh rates which can save battery when in a pinch.
It still seems like a downgrade from the S20, which had an SD card slot (very helpful if you intend to use 8K video), 12 GB of ram (overkill I know) and a better refresh range. Oh well. I'll just stay with the S21 this year. //@Anonymous: Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

Regular s22 model says, "Dynamic AMOLED 2X". So it has. //@anonymous: Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

It's impossible. Samsung will surely use amoled display in their top tier phones. //@anonymous: Am I reading this wrong, or is the Ultra the only one with an OLED? That would be a shame for sure.

Why do they have to make it bigger and bigger? I like the spec on the ultra but can do with a smaller screen and overall size.

Agree on the SD card, can't believed Samsung is going backward, it's probably the only better thing that they have over the Iphones so now I can see Samsung ppl converting to iphone. Bad marketing move Samsung. //@Anonymous: They all have AMOLED

Was so disappointed when I found out the new Samsungs don't have an SD slot. My three year old S9 is finally starting to die and have 64+128GB as storage. Never had an iphone but will be making the jump later this summer. Samsung really screwed themselves by leaving the SD slot out.

Yep, my wife has an s20 (woth SD card slot) and I have an s21 (no SD card slot). We both have 8k video. But, the built in 128 gb of storage would only hold like 90 sec of 8k video. Why put an 8k camera in a device with 128 gb of storage?

why? Greed! pure and simple... as if they don't make enough profit from the phone itself... time to boycott Samsung //@Anonymous: Yep, my wife has an s20 (woth SD card slot) and I have an s21 (no SD card slot). I understand what he means tho, because SD memory expansion used to be one of the very most important advantages of Samsung over iPhone for me, so I was also disappointed. I still have stuck with Samsung though because it's what I'm used to, and I need the ability to install unverified apps and such without jailbreaking. //@Anonymous: I don't understand this logic. S pen is a key for this new version, not the SD slot. S pen is a useful thing.

Yes. The S pen is the deal-breaker, which is the sole reason I purchased Note 8 and then note 10. But without the SD card slot, I will choose other phones for sure, maybe One+. //@Anonymous: S pen is a key for this new version, not the SD slot. S pen is a useful thing.

Funny how people are going after the lack of an SD slot and threatening to switch to another phone which also don't have an SD slot.

And some just laughed that flagship phones with 256gb built-in UFS 3.1 storage doesn't have SD slot with their 32/64gb old phones with a cheap&slow 128gb sdcard.... //@Anonymous: Funny how people are going after the lack of an SD slot and threatening to switch to another phone which also don't have an SD slot.
