I do a math for iPhone 15 pro 128G with apple care total $1268 in Apple.com vs $1170 in Costco. However, Apple Care+ includes Theft and Loss with $149 deductible in Apple.com, but it doesn't mention this term in Costco. No sure whether Costco includes Theft and Loss.

Wow that's expensive. I remember I only paid $199 for my brandnew unlocked iphone 11

AppleCare+ on Apple.com is $199 and it does NOT include lost and theft which would cost way more than $199.

Even though it includes the Apple care + but for how long? Free for 1 month? 1 year? Apple care is a subscription base.

How can a new model be justified by an upgrade to a USB-C connector that has existed for more than 5years?
Anonymous
iphone 15 pro:
nothing to improve but use a more expensive piece of metal
1 year ago |
Anonymous
And the chip is supposed to "protect you" from accidentally killing yourself by using a generic, third-party, non-Apple (aka. not "premium") charging cable. You know, cheap cables deliver cheap electric charge to your premium iPhone, whose premium battery cannot tolerate. //@Anonymous: Reinvent the USB-C standard by adding a chip to block 3rd party cables. //@Anonymous: iPhone with USB-C connector in 2023!

Because new EU regulations require this. //@anonymous: How can a new model be justified by an upgrade to a USB-C connector that has existed for more than 5years?

Isn't the EU just helping out Apple. Apple wanted to reduce waste by eliminating the charger. So Apple now has the opportunity to help the environment even more. //@Anonymous: Because new EU regulations require this.

2022 M2 13" 8gb 256gb $899 is a better deal IMO. Most people won't need the extra RAM. Apple Silicon is great with RAM management.

with 8GB ram, system automatically uses part of SSD for cache. The result is much shorter life of SSD. Unfortunately SSD is not an easy DIY, if even possible. //@Anonymous: 2022 M2 13" 8gb 256gb $899 is a better deal IMO. Most people won't need the extra RAM. "Although all iPhone 15 models make the switch to USB-C connectors, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, thanks to the A17 Pro chip, feature the necessary USB controller to support faster USB 3 speeds.
