Why does Lenovo always not have HDMI port?

I got the one with 8Gb ram, $399. Pretty happy with it. One feature I really like is that it can be powered just by one usb-c cable connected to my usb-c monitor.

It comes with an USB-C to HDMI adapter. By the way, DP gives higher quality image than HDMI especially comes to 4K or above. //@Anonymous: Why does Lenovo always not have HDMI port?

They don’t put the HDMI port to avoid paying the licensing fee to the HDMI consortium.

This argument makes no sense. The license fee ranges from 4 to 15 cents per device. //@Anonymous: They don’t put the HDMI port to avoid paying the licensing fee to the HDMI consortium.

Don't listen to those tweets, they constantly post the same bs on every lenovo thread because the brand is popular and reliable unlike the brands they want to peddle. This is a good deal and the computer is solid. //@anonymous: Recommendation please! //@anonymous: Lenovo always takes shortcuts that end up hurting the consumer.
