That is Apple's trick. For me, 512GB seems to be the minimal disk space I need. After one year of usage, I used about 260GB as a developer. So I will have to pay the $200 for that 256GB. //@Anonymous: $200 for just 256GB

I am coder and I used Apple Air for one year. Now about 300G used. If you clean it harder, $256GB is probably OK. But 512 GB is in sweet spot.
