Compared to the $1299.99 stand-alone Apple 5K monitor, this is a good deal, if want to use it as a 5K monitor. Also, the 2020 iMac 27' can easily upgrade RAM, but cannot upgrade SSD at all. Overall, still, this is a good deal for graphics-heavy user such as a photographer or videographer.

How to use this as a 5k monitor? I tried Luna Display, lagging is too bad. There is no video input port //@Anonymous: Compared to the $1299.99 stand-alone Apple 5K monitor, this is a good deal, if want to use it as a 5K monitor. 2015 or later iMac does not allow using as a target display mode. Pre-2014 iMac allows it, but Apple cut this possibility in 2015 //@anonymous: Thunderbolt cable //@Anonymous: How to use this as a 5k monitor? I tried Luna Display, lagging is too bad. Target display mode is only available on old iMacs. It is no longer supported either software or hardware by Apple on this 27’ iMac. This is 2021 model. Apple doesn’t sell this model and Costco shouldn’t do either.

I really wish Apple starts offering 32 inch screen options for their iMacs even if they are 1440p.

Don't understand why they dropped the 27in line. 24in is too small. It is the 21st centaury, why would I use a 24in monitor

My Mac mini connected with two 24 inch monitors serves the same purpose, and is better than one 27 inch monitor IMHO.
