I personally think apple tags are useless for all practical purposes. It is at best works if it is in the same room as your phone. You move to a different location with as minimum as with 2-3 walls it does not work. To those people who think AirTags only work when they are connected to "your" iPhone, that is not the case. AirTags connect to any phone nearby and you can find your stuff from anywhere far using your Find My app.

Interesting, how far you located it? I am not sure if you ever have it. Your receptor reports last static ordinates whenever it was within the range. I think Apple realizes people aren't buying iPhones every year. Basically the market is saturated with high-end iPhones that will last 2 to 4 years. This is why their trying to push as many MacBooks as possible.
