I dont get why Apple didn't make the base model to 16G which will probably cost them $10-12 but can jack up the base model by $60 and sell them like cakes. 8G is small niche market mostly for novice users. Truth is that we all know 8G would be enough 95% of the time but anyone with real technical experience wouldn't want to get anything less than 16G.

I've had the M1 Mac Mini base model (M1, 8GB, 256GB) since December 2020. It is very quiet and fast - yes, fast. The M1 version doesn't suffer the low band issue in the 256Gb model. And you probably don't use it open a hundred tabs and two IDE windows with Docker containers in the back. It really depends on what you plan on using Apple Products for. Personally, I purchased the Air 5th specifically to use Procreate. Before buying it, I tested out various apps and demos but found them to be lacking in brushes and features, and some were difficult to use. Adobe demos, for example, were too expensive at 50 dollars a month. In contrast, Procreate only costs 12.99 for a one-time purchase. They also have a new Procreate Dream for animation coming soon at 9.99 for a one-time purchase. Don’t buy. This model will be at most supported to 2026. Newer iOS won’t allow you to install even if you think the device is able to run the new iOS. All relevant apps will die and run into dead loops between app opening and app updating. Then it becomes a plastic trash and only fool Facebook people for 30 bucks

For those sitting on the fence wondering if this is a good laptop, I do not recommend this deal. I have the e210 which is a similar cousin to this model and I don’t like it. It only has 4GB of ram soldered (not upgradable) and I had to install the lightest Linux variant to make it useful for any daily task. The TN screen is also terrible. The only thing going for it is the battery life but only because I use Lubuntu.

I'm not sure what that have to do with what I posted. Even before Omicron, these at home kits were even in the most flatter studies, generating high false negative tests (15%) compared to PCR tests. In other studies, it performed even worse. I cited both, assuming that posts is being viewed by admin before posting. You should READ the study, specifically the CDC one. In that study one of the things they test is is people who TESTED POSITIVE from the PCR test (which they confirmed with a second), and this kit STILL returned false negatives. And as I quoted directly, terrible sensitivity especially for asympomatic cases. If you meant comparing with iPads. The mini has a better CPU than both 10th gen and 9th gen iPads. It can record 4K vidoes while only 10th gen iPad can. It supports 2nd gen Apple pen while neither gen's iPad can..... //@Anonymous: why mini more expensive?

My co-worker was annoyed that his Studio display doesn't have any kind of multi input source support. He basically has to unplug one computer and plug in another. That would be a deal breaker for me. I switch my Dell between a desktop and laptop regularly.

While there is a cost aspect of it, there are not that many monitors comparable in quality to this at this price. Dell U4021QW ultrasharp is closest at a $300 cheaper ticket but its nowhere close to this quality on color gamut or brightness not to mention the lack of camera or speakers. The closest is the LG 5K ultrafine but it is of the same price as of today $1299 and its speakers are not upto sample - I have this monitor as well and I know. I am not trying to sell this monitor but slinging mud should be based on facts IMHO.

It's crazy small for the price, but when you're a professional photographer (on the smaller side) and try editing on an Asus ProArt monitor, the Apple Studio Display is simply the best at color representation. Get an Apple Card and pay monthly using the EDU site for the discount.

Don't trust Samsung any more. My Samsung monitor lasted 2 years. My other monitors last at least 5 years or more and were cheaper. My Samsung fridge lasted 3 years. One of the Samsung pads lasted a year, the other one longer.

Most of Youtube channels are 720P for HD and nature support of 720P is already called HD projectors for up to 100” screens. There is no practical use for 1080 CAM. Even Zoom only supports 720P with high selective cases for 1080p (event broadcasts).
