all label printers use thermal transfer technology, no ink/toner consumption at all, the thermal transfer has the advantage of low consumable cost and fast printing, but the downside is considerably low printing resolution. And the thermal mechanism dominated most of its cost. This dual printer model should be used in a fast pace environment like takeout counter to double printer efficiency and at this price point, this one is unbeatable //@Anonymous: Market share? Fewer people buy these, I assume, which means lower demand to defray overhead. Also, I suspect the ink/toner is of a different, more expensive composition to account for the use, and the mechanisms must handle heavier media. Kind of makes sense to me, though I am no expert in ANY OF THESE FIELDS... //@Anonymous: Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

Buy the new AirPods gen 3, much cheaper. It is actually better than pro with latest technology and skin detection sensor.
AirPods 3 doesn't have noise cancellation, that is the main difference.

You may have allergic reaction with rubber. The AirPod Pro have an rubber part go into the ear channel. You may not have problem before but when we’re aging your body change. I learned it the hard way when I handled the poison ivy. Also you may not react to most of the other rubber but with the Apple’s rubber. Hope you’re getting much better now and be safe in the pandemic. //@anonymous: Thanks for explaining the obvious. Of course I havent used them further. One use and they caused a severe reaction. And I never been allergic to anything else in my entire life. //@Anonymous: Human beings can have allergic reaction to almost everything including milk and eggs. You should avoid items you have allergic reaction with. Avoid and return them right away. If you’re using for a long over the return period then it’s your own problem //@anonymous: I had a severe allergic reaction to these. If you google, you'll see lots of people have. It went on for two weeks and I lost several nights sleep from the pain.
When I called Apple they acted as if they'd never heard about it. Terribly shady corporate response to a legit health issue. Eardrops cost me over $200 and I had to see my doctor plus an ENT.

Just consider the material to make the items is overpriced. But if you include the engineer design efforts behind it then it’s not overpriced //@anonymous: Right, but that won't change the fact that this specific item is overpriced. //@Anonymous: It's always overpriced for someone who just can't afford it. //@Anonymous: Lowest price is around $160 during last BF.
